Details on the project were originally revealed late last year, showing that the rectangular structure will take up most of the 9,000-square-foot site made up of roughly three lots. Most recently sold in 1990, the property sits directly on the 606/Bloomingdale Trail in between its entrances on N Rockwell Street and N Western Avenue.

Rising four stories and 47 feet in height, the project will be oriented towards Bloomingdale with the ground floor holding three units and a 10-vehicle parking garage in the rear access from the alley. In total the building will have 21-apartments completely made up entirely of two-bedroom layouts, it is unclear how many will be considered affordable.

While there are no shared amenities or outdoor space, future residents will have CTA bus access to Routes 49, 56 and 73 as well as the CTA Blue Line Western station within a five-minute walk. The project will now need the approval of the alderman before moving forward to applying for a rezoning of the site, at the moment a construction timeline is unknown.

  1. How many units total? There’s a weird typo.

    Can you review paragraph 3?

“in total the building will have 2 -apartments…”

With 3 units on first floor seems like there was suppose to be a bigger number or more words there. My guess is 21, 2 bedrooms.

  3. That lot + house have been an eyesore for a long time, this would be great if it was built. Excited to see the renderings when released.
