A renovation project is underway at 2350 S Leavitt Street in Heart of Chicago. The project, approved on January 2 and with a budget of $530,000, aims to revitalize and enlarge an existing residential building at the address.

The current structure, a one-story building with four dwelling units, will undergo interior and exterior alterations as a result of the project. A key aspect of this renovation is the addition of a second and third floor, which will introduce two new dwelling units, bringing the total to six units for the building.

Another notable feature of the project is the duplexing of the basement and first floor for two of the building’s units. A new rear metal porch is also part of the construction, providing outdoor space and contributing to the building’s overall aesthetic. A two-vehicle concrete pad and six bicycle spaces are also part of the project plans.

The renovation will be managed by 2350 Buyers LLC, a Chicago-based property development firm. Architectural plans have been provided by Andrew Wang. Halo Masonry & Construction will serve as the general contractor for the renovation.

2350 S Leavitt Street is located steps from bus stops for Route 49. Beyond that, the Damen CTA Station, which services the Pink Line, is an 11-minute walk to the north of the property.
