City Club Apartments MDA Phase II Wraps Up Facade in The Loop

Final exterior touches are underway for City Club Apartments MDA Phase II, a seven-story mixed-use addition to the existing 24-story MDA Tower. Located at 60 E Benton Place in The Loop, this two-building complex is owned by City Club Apartments, whose plans for the new building involve ground-level retail and 81 apartments. These added residences will comprise of studios, one-bedrooms, and larger penthouses, bringing the total unit count for the complex to 271.

Permits Issued for 1542 W Wrightwood Avenue in Lincoln Park

Construction permits have been issued for a new three-story residential building located at 1542 W Wrightwood Avenue in Lincoln Park. The owner Joey Halperin plans to incorporate two units, as well as a basement, a rooftop deck and enclosure, a three-story rear metal porch, and a two-car garage.

Exterior Work Wraps up for 4750 N Winthrop Avenue in Uptown

Exterior work is nearing completion for a four-story apartment building known as “the Winnie,” located at 4750 N Winthrop Avenue in Uptown. Cedar St. Companies is behind the project, which will include 84 total units, 57 of which will be studios. While not indicated in the permits, the developer’s website mentions that there will also be 9,470 square feet of commercial space at ground level.

Permits Issued for 3235 N Lakewood Avenue in Lake View

Permits have been issued for a three-story residential building located at 3235 N Lakewood Avenue in Lake View. The development is filed under O’Neill Development Group, and is set to house four total units, along with four rear decks, a private roof deck, two penthouse enclosures, and a detached frame garage for five cars. The new structure will replace a previously occupying two-story masonry building.

Permits have been issued for a new three-story residential building located at 917 S Aberdeen Street in Little Italy. Owned by MBZ Properties LLC, the project will house two total units and include a basement. The structure is set to replace a two-story frame residence.

Renderings have been revealed for a proposed mixed-use development at 3636 N Lake Shore Drive in Lakeview East. Poised to fill a plot of empty land along N Lake Shore Drive, the project site is located at the intersection of N Lake Shore Drive and W Waveland Avenue. City Club Apartments is the developer behind the proposal.

Final facade work is underway for a four-story residential building located at 4712 N Sheridan Road in Uptown. Originally filed under 4714 N Sheridan LLC and developed by Mavrek Development, the project is set to contain 30 total residences, with 19 on-site parking spaces and 24 bike spaces. The site was previously occupied by a single-story masonry commercial building.

Construction permits have been issued for a four-story residential building located at 1514 W Ohio Street in West Town. Filed under 1512 Ohio LLC, the development will contain three total units, as well as a fourth-floor front deck, a four-story rear porch, and a detached three-car garage. The new structure will replace a single-story frame residence and a detached frame garage. An ordinance was passed last fall granting a property zoning change from RS-3 Residential Single-Unit to RM-4.5 Residential Multi-Unit District.

Move-Out Process Begins for Thompson Center with Possible Replacement On Horizon

This week Governor Pritzker announced the purchase of 555 W Monroe Street, where more than 1,000 of the 3,400 state government employees will move to this spring from The Loop‘s Thompson Center building located at 100 W Randolph Street.
