Emergency demolition permits have been issued for 6226 S Aberdeen Street, a two-story residential building in Englewood. The masonry structure contains multiple units, and is owned by the City of Chicago.
Work is wrapping up at Vista Tower, a 101-story mixed-use building in Lake Shore East. The tower’s bold design is the work of Studio Gang Architects. The Chicago-based firm led by renowned architect Jeanne Gang also designed the planned O’Hare terminal and the nearby Aqua Tower.
The Zoning Committee has approved the zoning for a new four-story residential development at 1512 W Ohio Street in West Town. Located on an interior lot along W Ohio Street, between N Ashland Avenue and N Armour Street. Within a two-minute walk from the site is the Route 9 bus, accessed at the Ashland and Erie stop. The Ashland CTA L station, serviced by the Green and Pink Lines, can be accessed via an 11-minute walk. 1512 W Ohio LLC is in charge of the development.
