Four stories, 14 Units Permitted For Triple Dayton Street Lot In Lincoln Park

A new construction permit has been issued to build a four-story, 14-unit residential building at 1839 North Dayton Street in Lincoln Park. The development replaces a trio of residential buildings that all received demolition permits in 2023 and have since been razed. Some excavation work on the old foundations will be the next order of business before digging out the basement of the new building.

1650 North Mozart Street construction permitted

Two-Flat At 1650 North Mozart Street In Humboldt Park Lands A Permit

The City of Chicago has issued a new construction permit to build a two-flat residence at 1650 North Mozart Street in Humboldt Park. The permit was issued on December 30 after being applied for on November 5. The address (1650) appears to be a side yard for the home at 1652 North Mozart, a two-story frame residence which listings show was built in 1894 and sold in July for $650,000. It is being razed for the new project.

Plan Commission To Review The 1901 Project This January

Plans for the redevelopment of the parking lots around the United Center, dubbed The 1901 Project, will be moving forward as they are set to be reviewed by the Plan Commission this January. Led by the Reinsdorf and Wirtz families, owners of the Bulls and Blackhawks respectively, the project comes at a time when other teams in the city are seeking relocation.
