Foundation Work Continues for 3501 N Halsted in Lakeview East

Foundation construction can be seen taking shape at 3501 N Halsted Street in Lakeview East, set to give rise to a new five-story mixed-use building. The facility will be a new hub for Howard Brown Health, which provides an all-encompassing approach to LGBTQ wellbeing at various centers throughout Chicago. Programming will include 7,600 square feet of ground-level retail, two floors of clinic space on the first two floors, and three floors of administrative space above. With this project alone, Howard Brown Health will double the organization’s capacity within the area.

43Green Phase I Celebrates Topping Off Milestone in Bronzeville

Yesterday Mayor Lori Lightfoot and other city officials commemorated the topping off of a new residential building as part of the first equitable transit-oriented development on Chicago’s South Side. Known as 43Green and located at 4308 S Calumet Avenue, the $100 million mixed-income, mixed-use project, which is being developed in three phases, will bring approximately 300 new apartments to the Bronzeville neighborhood upon completion.

Groundbreaking Timeline Announced for 3636 N Lake Shore Drive in Lake View East

Alderman Cappleman has announced that 3636 N Lake Shore Drive in Lake View East will commence construction during the fourth quarter of this year. The developer for this mixed-use proposal is City Club Apartments, who has planned two new structures to rise on the property. One will be a 19-floor building and the other will be a six-story building, measuring 228 feet and 75 feet, respectively. The two together will house 333 residential units total, along with a 5,000 square-foot restaurant. The residential unit breakdown will include studios and one-, two-, and three-bedroom residences. There will be 145 parking spaces underground and 50 bike parking spaces.

Construction Tops Off For The Reed In South Loop

Core construction has reached its full height for a 41-story, 440-unit tower known as “The Reed” at 234 W Polk Street in South Loop. Developed by Lendlease, the tower is the second residential building within Lendlease’s seven-acre Southbank master plan. This project has also added public amenities to the area including two acres of park land and a riverwalk running alongside the Chicago River’s south branch.
