Details have been revealed for a mixed-use development at 5600 N Winthrop Avenue in Edgewater. Located on the intersection with W Bryn Mawr Avenue, the site is currently occupied by three one-story commercial buildings right next to the Bryn Mawr CTA Red Line Station. The project is being led by Norridge-based developer Harlem Irving Companies.
The Residences of St. Boniface, Phase 2 of the St. Boniface Church redevelopment project in Noble Square, have topped out, windows are in, and exterior work is nearing completion ahead of their spring 2025 debuts. Located at 1340 West Chestnut Street and directly across from Eckhart Park, the condos are the new-construction portion of the adaptive re-use units next door at the renovated church.
The Chicago City Council has approved the mixed-use development at 1747 W Grand Avenue in West Town. Sitting next to Publican Quality Bread near the intersection with N Wood Street, the new structure would join multiple other multi-unit buildings that have gone up nearby in recent years as the area continues to draw new residents.
The foundation has been excavated for a residential development coming to 455 North Carpenter Street in the West Town neighborhood. Replacing the former home of Allied Valve Industries, which was torn down this fall, the new building from Range Group will bring 72 dwelling units across a five-story structure. With the foundation now in place, you can clearly see the L-shaped building’s footprint.
Work is set to ramp up on a new health and nutrition center at 1110 E 130th Place in Altgeld Gardens. Located on the north east corner of the housing complex, the new building would bring additional services to the area that are in demand after years of exposure to some of the highest pollution and contamination levels in the city.
