1200 W Fulton Market Receives First Demolition Permit

The first demolition permit has now been issued for a major new mixed-use development at 1200 W Fulton Street in Fulton Market. The development will replace a parking lot and three existing one-story industrial buildings with three structures, delivering 1.5 million square feet of space designed by Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture. The developer, Fulton Street Companies, is partnering with Waterton, a local landlord company, and Harrison Street Real Estate Capital.

Permits Granted For Church Mixed-Use Redevelopment In Kenwood

Initial permits have been issued for the mixed-use development at 4601 S Ellis Avenue in Kenwood. Located on the southeast corner of the intersection with E 46th Street near Gwendolyn Brooks Park, the project will restore and renovate the existing St. James United Methodist Church complex and bring it back to life after being abandoned for some time now. Since we first covered the proposal in 2020, the team has remained the same with developer Creative Design Builders leading the charge along with ZED Architects the design.

2355 N Washtenaw Avenue

Zoning Partially Approved For Pair of Mixed-Use Buildings In Logan Square

The Committee on Zoning has recommended the approval of the mixed-use development at 2354 and 2355 N Washtenaw Avenue in Logan Square. Located on the intersection with W Fullerton Avenue across the street from Haas Park, the two-structure project will replace a one-story non-historical bank and a parking lot on both sides south of the crossing. Developer Hibernian Development is working with local firm 360 Design Studio on the nearly identical buildings which gained approval after various redesigns.
