Construction permits have been issued for 6422 S Drexel Avenue, a three-story residential building planned for Chicago’s Woodlawn neighborhood.
Photos taken yesterday show construction mockups and other equipment on the site of Fulton Market‘s 345 N Morgan Street, in preparation of the future 11-story office building. The structure will replace a previously-demolished single-story commercial building, adding 230,000 square feet of total floor space to the pool of new office developments rising in the West Loop neighborhood.
Construction permits have been issued for a three-story residential building at 2049 N Bissell Street in Lincoln Park, replacing a former two-story single family residence.
Construction work is nearing completion on Porte Chicago, a two-tower mixed-use development at 845 W Madison Street in the West Loop. Located on a full block lot, the site is bounded by W Madison Street to the north, W Monroe Street to the south, S Peoria Street to the west, and S Green Street to the east. The project is designed by architect GREC Studio and co-developed by the John Buck Company and Lendlease.
Santiago Calatrava’s distinct red sculpture, known officially as “Constellation,” is currently awaiting its full assembly in the Fulton River District, just west of The Loop‘s north edge.
