Construction is progressing on a four-story condominium development at 642 West Webster Avenue in Lincoln Park. The permit issued by the City of Chicago on September 29 of last year calls for three condo units in the building, which sits directly across the street from Oz Park.
Plans have been revealed for a new health clinic at 467 E 31st Street in Bronzeville. Located just east of the intersection with S Martin Luther King Drive, it will be dubbed the Bronzeville Health Center and occupy the existing office building within Lake Meadows. The project is being developed by Cook County Health and serve as an expansion of Provident Hospital.
A new four-story with basement residential building has reached its ultimate height at 2218 North Burling Street in Lincoln Park. The three-unit condominium building is being constructed by Promised Land Development, who are both the general contractor and developer. They’re making great progress; this was still undergoing foundation work when we snuck a peek in May.
The Chicago City Council has approved the mixed-use development 2033 N Kingsbury Avenue in Lincoln Park. Located on the eastern edge of Lincoln Yards right off of N Clybourn Avenue, the project will replace a vacant lot bound by curved railroad tracks to the south. Like other developments in the area, the project is being led by Sterling Bay.
The outer shell is taking shape for the new Racine Blue Line station on Chicago’s Near West Side. The station, which lies between the inbound and outbound lanes of the Eisenhower Expressway, is part of the CTA’s $3 billion plan to reconstruct the Forest Park Branch of the Blue Line system. The Racine renovation alone, which extends from Racine Avenue to the east to Loomis Street to the west, is estimated to cost approximately $23 million.
