The proposed zoning has been approved for a six-story mixed-use development at 835 W Addison Street in Lakeview East. Located at the intersection of W Addison Street and N Reta Avenue, the new project will replace the existing Lakeview Lutheran Church. The church is collaborating with Over the Rainbow Association to execute the project.
Construction permits have been issued for a three-story residential building located at 720 W 17th Street in East Pilsen. Owned and developed by Leonardo Nieto, the building will house four total dwellings, as well as a rooftop enclosure, a basement, a four-story rear porch, and a four-car parking pad. Currently, the site is occupied by two frame residences and a taller multi-level masonry building in the rear. It is unclear if all the structures will be cleared for the new residence.
Exterior work is near complete for a four-story mixed-use building known as Halsted Apartments, located at 3312 N Halsted Street in Lakeview East.
Permits have been issued for a two-story multi-unit residential building at 1848 W Cullerton Street in Lower West Side‘s Heart of Chicago. The owner Padriak Buckley has planned three total dwelling units, as well as a basement, rear fencing, and deck spaces for residents. Currently, the site is occupied by a vacant grass space.
Construction is nearing completion for a four-story commercial building, located at 1111 W Addison Street in Lake View‘s Wrigleyville. The project, planned by West Addison Development, is set to contain retail on the ground floor with a climbing and bouldering center above. A separate permit indicated that the developer will build out six climbing walls within the second through fourth floors.
