Construction permits have been issued for a three-story residential building penned for 4022 S Calumet Avenue in Bronzeville. James Nahon is the listed project owner, whose plans include three total units, a rear open porch, various deck spaces, and a detached three-car garage. The new development will replace a previously vacant lot.
Construction has topped out at 12 stories for a mixed-use development known as 1045 on Fulton Market in West Loop’s Fulton Market District. The 147-foot-tall building has been spearheaded by Fulton Street Companies and Intercontinental Real Estate, and will offer a mix of ground-level retail and office space across its 150,000 square feet.
Renovation permits have been issued for a one-story restaurant building located at 2622 N Clark Street in Lincoln Park‘s Park West district. The listed occupying owner, Lakeview Series LLC, plans to add a new one-story addition to the existing structure, while replacing the back parking lot with an outdoor patio.
The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the 8.1-acre North Union megadevelopment in the Near North Side. Generally bounded by the CTA Brown Line tracks and W Oak Street, W Chestnut Street, and N Wells Street, the North Union site will spread across eight acres. Planned by JDL Development, the project site is currently occupied by one or two story buildings, parking lots and an athletic field, all part of the Moody Bible Institute campus. The entire plan reserves 9.4 acres for Moody Bible Institute while turning over the remaining 8.1 acres over to JDL.
Extensive work can be seen for the Skybridge component of Rush University Medical Center‘s Joan and Paul Rubschlager Building. This new 10-story cancer and neuroscience building that has topped in Little Italy, adjacently east of the Illinois Medical District at 1520 W Harrison Street.
