2841 North Southport Avenue in Lake View has risen to its second story, and will add two more levels before it reaches its ultimate height. The three-unit development from Bachula Development, who are taking on general contractor duties as well, replaces a multi-unit frame residential building demolished in July.

With the west, south, and east façades still intact, the gutted former church, located at 2700 North Pine Grove Avenue, now holds a steel frame upon which a six-story, 22-unit residential building from Ogden Partners is blooming, thanks to construction work by general contractor MC Construction.
