Two proposals have been revealed by the Department of Planning and Development for their West Garfield Park RFQ at 3811 W Madison Street. Located on the corner with S Hamlin Boulevard and directly across the street from Garfield Park itself, the project will replace a vacant grocery store and its parking lot that were recently acquired by the city. 3914 N Lincoln Avenue Receives First Construction Permit in North Center

The initial foundation permit has been issued for a mixed-use development at 3914 N Lincoln Avenue in North Center. Occupying a trapezoidal lot between N Damen Avenue to the west and N Lincoln Avenue to the east, the project is set to replace an empty lot along with various existing structures. The 24,554-square-foot property will host a five-story, 97,773-square-foot building with 68 residential units. Longford Construction leads the project, with SPACE Architects + Planners behind the 61-foot-tall design.

A five-story residential development at 1613 W Belmont Avenue in Lake View has been granted a construction permit. The new development will host 11 residential units, each with ground floor balconies and additional balconies on the second through fourth floors, as well as a roof deck. An automatic sprinkler system and a rear wood fence are notable aspects of the construction, as outlined in the submitted plans. 1613 W Belmont LLC owns the project and will replace a one-story retail building.
