Updated plans have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 1338 W Lake Street in the West Loop. Originally announced via a zoning application in September 2022, the new structure will be located on the northeast corner with N Ada Street bound by the CTA tracks to the south while replacing a multi-story industrial structure currently occupying the lot. Developer Cedar Street Companies is working with local architecture firm SCB on its design located on the western edge of the expanding neighborhood.

Related Midwest has unveiled a new proposal for 725 W Randolph Street, a now 41-story skyscraper poised for the southeast corner of Fulton Market District. The mixed-use project has steered toward a more commercial angle over its last two building iterations, which would have yielded a 370-apartment residential component in addition to office space and a hotel. While apartment demand has blossomed following the reversal of a new housing moratorium in the district, the office market has also seen a recent surge of new companies into the neighborhood’s growing collection of large floor-plate towers.

Renderings have been revealed for the upcoming mixed-use project at 415 N Sangamon Street in the West Loop. Shown to area locals during a public meeting held last night, plans for the tower have remained relatively the same with the images offering a first look at its solar panel-lined exterior. News on the proposal broke last September, replacing a vacant lot and incorporate the adjacent on-site building. Developer Fortem Voluntas Partners led by Jay Jordan, an ex-Sterling Bay leasing agent, is partnering with local firm Eckenhoff Saunders and Miller Hull on its design.
