A three-flat masonry construction residential building has topped out at 3721 North Kenmore Avenue in Wrigleyville. At the front of the building, brickwork looks mostly completed, while sets of three window openings on each level await glass installation. Bricks have been laid at the rear of the homes as well, with gaping holes where porches and doors will be.
The Wrigleyville demolition from last year that included concerns about an erroneous address has all worked out for the best, as progress on its replacement is now topped out. At 3739 North Clifton Avenue one block north of Wrigley Field, a three-story, three-unit building is nearing exterior completion, while workers attend to interior details.
A foundation permit for the residential building at 3627-3633 North Sheffield Avenue in Wrigleyville was added to the Chicago Date Portal on January 13. It’s the first sign of permission we’ve seen to replace the three buildings beyond the rightfield bleachers of Wrigley Field that were permitted for demolition last year.
A second permit has been approved to expand a residential building at 3641 North Wilton Avenue in the Wrigleyville neighborhood. The later permit, issued October 14, allows for the construction of a three-car garage with a second-story Additional Dwelling Unit on the alley at the rear of the property. Showing an application date of September 26, the permission came through with a reported cost of $115,000.
Steel and masonry are rising above the sidewalk for the new residential development at 3739 North Clifton Avenue in the Wrigleyville section of Lake View. What at first resembled goal posts, as one passerby opined, at the front of the lot now looks a little less stark as brick and block work start to rise with it.
