Located between W Randolph Street to the south and W Lake Street to the north, the proposal includes two existing buildings and was announced earlier this year. The project itself is being led by two brothers under the name 167 Racine LLC, with SPACE Architects + Planners serving as the designers.

Two-Story Restaurant Renovation Progresses at 431 N Dearborn Street in River North

An existing retail structure at 431 N Dearborn Street is currently undergoing extensive interior and exterior renovation work, with new windows having now been installed. Built in 1948, this two-story River North building owned by Friedman Companies long served as the Getschow Company’s engineering headquarters. Most recently, it housed Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, which closed the location in 2020. The Group is leading the current revamp, which will consist of two new restaurants.

Plans Revealed For New Hotel In Fulton Market

Details have been revealed for a new mixed-use development at 1016 W Lake Street in Fulton market. Located on the intersection with N Carpenter Street, the project would replace a surface parking lot next to a strip of townhomes facing the train tracks. The proposal is being led by a team made up of New York-based Cogswell Realty and Chicago-based Erol Stapleton, with M Moser Associates working on the design.
