Construction continues on the first phase of the residential conversion of the St. Boniface Church at 1356 W Chestnut Street in Noble Square. Located on the corner with N Noble Street across the street from the park, we recently covered new renderings for the upcoming second phase of the overall proposal. Now we check in on the progress of the project being developed by ZSD Corp and designed by SPACE Architects + Planners.

Renovation Permit Issued for 1526 S Central Park Avenue in Lawndale

A renovation permit has been granted for an existing multi-unit residential building at 1526 S Central Park Avenue in Lawndale. The work, to be executed within two of the dwelling units, encompasses interior upgrades, specifically within the kitchen and baths. New plumbing, electrical, and mechanical components are also part of the plan. Additionally, the project includes replacing the wood deck and stairs at the rear. The building is not set for a change in its use or occupancy, with the filing retaining the R-5 multi-unit residence categorization.

Chicago’s Central Station, once a hub of vibrant activity, represents a significant chapter in American railway history. Constructed in 1893, the station was designed by esteemed architect Bradford L. Gilbert to accommodate the traffic demands of the World’s Columbian Exposition. Located near Roosevelt Road and Michigan Avenue, the station’s strategic position was instrumental for moving people and goods within the city and beyond.
