The condominium development at 405 West Armitage Avenue in Old Town has topped out at the triangle intersection of Armitage, Lincoln Avenue, and Sedgwick Street. Barrett Homes, as general contractor and developer, is behind the construction project, which will deliver six dwelling units to the Lincoln Park Community Area.
405 West Armitage, the new condominium development from Barrett Homes in the Old Town neighborhood, is taking form as it begins to rise above street level. Also performing general contractor duties as well as those of developer, Barrett broke ground on the project this fall, shortly after receiving a building permit from the City of Chicago that was issued on October 4. The site used to be home to a single-story brick building that most recently held a CVS store.
With the former CVS building at Lincoln, Armitage, and Sedgwick now demolished, foundation work is underway for a new building at 405 West Armitage Avenue in the Old Town neighborhood. That’s where Barrett Homes has begun building a four-story, six-unit condominium project. Barrett Homes has also provided us with some fresh renderings of the development, on which they are acting as both developer and general contractor.
A single-story former CVS store at Lincoln Avenue, Armitage Avenue, and Sedgwick Street in Lincoln Park is being demolished as we speak, with Precision Excavation doing the honors. They received a demolition permit from the City of Chicago on August 22. Barrett Homes will soon begin construction here on a four-story, six-unit condominium development to be addressed as 405 West Armitage Avenue. The new building will replace the lost CVS retail space with two retail spaces: one will have entry at 403 West Armitage, and the other at 1952 North Sedgwick.
At 4102 N Sheridan Road in the Buena Park neighborhood of Uptown, Abode 4102 is nearing completion of its 32 new rental units. With brickwork completed and windows installed, all that remains to be done on the outside is flooring for the rear balconies.
