Assigned to 1803 West Armitage, the new permit allows for a three-story plus basement structure, indicating one duplex-down unit and one duplex-up, though it is not clear of they will be condominiums or rental properties.

Demolition Of Danny’s Tavern At 1951 West Dickens Will Allow Three New Units In Bucktown

A demolition permit was issued January 8 to tear down the former Danny’s Tavern building and its detached garage at 1951 West Dickens Avenue in the Bucktown neighborhood. According to Block Club Chicago, the bar closed during the COVID pandemic and the property went up for sale in 2021. The two-story, 1898-built edifice was purchased this past November for $821,000 by a Blue Island developer.
