Partial financing has been secured for the first tower of the Halsted Pointe development at 901 N Halsted Street on Goose Island. Located on the southern tip of the island, the mixed-use project replaces the Greyhound Bus facility with permits being applied for late last year with the city. Canadian-based developer Onni Group is not only behind this project but also Halsted Landing right across the river.
Facade pieces are being installed for a new Aldi grocery store at 3930 N Kilpatrick Avenue in Portage Park. Occupying a previously vacant lot, the single-story retail venue will provide 21,000 square feet of space and 67 surface parking spaces.
At 2933 W Division Street in Humboldt Park, the construction of a new health and wellness center continues to advance, with the building’s shell now in place. Valued at $24 million, the center covers an area of 45,500 square feet and reaches a height of 62 feet. This three-story building is a collaborative effort between Humboldt Park Health and the architectural firm JGMA. The curved design will be clad in an iridescent facade, composed of blue and green metal paneling and glass curtain wall cut-outs.
A renovation has been announced for the Prudential Plaza complex at 130 E Randolph Street in New East Side. Located on the corner with N Stetson Avenue and across the street from Millenium Park, the complex is currently owned by Wanxiang America Real Estate Group. The US-based real-estate developer is part of Wanxiang Group, a Chinese automotive manufacturer.
Installation of the outer walls is progressing on the exterior of 43Green Phase II, a mixed-use development project in Bronzeville. The project recently reached a milestone by topping out at a height of 106 feet. Located at 4309 S Prairie Avenue, adjacent to the 43rd Street CTA station, the project follows the completed initial phase located on the other side of the tracks.
