Located along N Ashland Avenue, the site is bordered by alleyways to the south and east. A one-story restaurant building currently occupies the site, for sale by the owner. Mavrek Development is the developer behind the proposal.
Construction permits have been issued for two adjacent residential buildings located at 1438-40 N Fairfield Avenue in West Town. Developed by 1437 North California LLC, the pair of two-story structures will each house two units for a total of four dwellings. The buildings will also each include a basement, a rooftop deck, and a three-car parking pad.
The approved 16-story office tower at 311 W Huron Street awaits groundbreaking in River North. Poised as part of the Verso River North development, the tower will replace an existing surface parking lot along W Huron Street. The site is located at the intersection of W Huron Street and N Franklin Street, on the southern side of the street. The CTA Brown Line tracks run alongside the property above N Franklin Street. North Wells Capital is the developer behind the project.

Full construction permits have been issued for a five-story mixed-use building located at 2139 W Madison Street in Near West Side. Previously, YIMBY had reported on foundation permits issued in October. The owner, filed under 2127 W Madison LLC, has planned two retail spaces at ground level, with 48 units on the floors above. Parking will include 48 on-site spaces.
