Tax incentives have been fully approved for the upcoming redevelopment of the Hoyt Building at 465 W Cermak Road in Chinatown. Sitting on the western edge of Chinatown along the southern branch of the Chicago River, the project has been in the works for a few years with multiple developers. Currently leading the development is Aurora-based Windfall Group, who are working with SPACE Architects + Planners on the design.

Crane permits have been issued for the mixed-use development at 3636 N Lake Shore Drive in Lake View East. Located on the southwest corner with W Waveland Avenue, the two-structure project would replace one of the remaining vacant lots along the lakefront. The development is being led by City Club Apartments who recently built 60 E Benton Place in The Loop, with BKV Group working on its design.

Facade Nears Completion for RIU Plaza Hotel at 150 E Ontario Street in Streeterville

With much of the remaining work now at the base, The Prime Group is finalizing the construction of a 28-story hotel located at 150 E Ontario Street in the Streeterville neighborhood. This building, a part of the RIU Hotels and Resorts group, is 345 feet tall and includes 388 guest rooms. On the ground floor will be a lobby and a cafe situated at the southeast corner, while the second level will house a dining room for guests.

Residential Development Proposed For 7015 N Sheridan Road In Rogers Park

Initial details have been revealed for the residential development at 7015 N Sheridan Road in Rogers Park. Located just south of the intersection with W Greenleaf Avenue, the site sits near Loyola Park and just north of the university itself. The proposal developer and architect are yet to be disclosed, but the developer will be seeing to rezone the site from RT-4 to B2-3, or Neighborhood Mixed-Use District.
