Construction permits have been issued for a three-story residential building at 3329 N Avenue, near the western edge of Avondale. The new structure will replace a two-story brick residential building, whose demolition permits were issued in July of last year.

Exclusive Renderings Revealed For Twin-Tower Development at 401 N Racine in West Loop

Today, YIMBY has an exclusive first look at renderings for a new 31-story mixed-use development at 401 N Racine Avenue in West Loop. The project site is a full block lot, bounded by Metra tracks to the north, N May Street to the east, W Kinzie Street to the south, and N Racine Avenue to the west. The nearest public transportation is the Route 65 CTA bus, accessed at the Grand and Racine, within a three-minute walk from the site. The Morgan CTA L station, serviced by the Green and Pink Line, can be accessed within a ten-minute walk.

Five-Story Residential Building at 550 N Ogden Avenue Nears Completion in West Town

Construction is rapidly approaching completion for a new five-story residential building at 550 N Ogden Avenue, located near the eastern edge of West Town. According to permits issued this past June, the masonry building will house eight apartment units and an integrated garage on the ground floor. The number of parking spaces will likely tally at eight to match the number of units, though this exact figure has not been confirmed. Additional interior information is not currently known.

Construction Permits Issued for 8125 S Halsted Street in Auburn Gresham

Construction permits have been issued for a two-story retail building at 8125 S Halsted Street in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood. Previously, a two-story masonry structure occupied the lot, with demolition permits issued in October of 2019. The new building, developed under the name Carol J. Galuszka, will be occupied on both floors by a liquor store. The store’s name appears to be Spirit Beer & Wine, which was listed in the October demolition permit.

Tribune Tower Condominium Conversion’s Exterior Wraps Up

The project site is located between W Roscoe Street and W Cornelia Avenue, and bounded by the CTA Brown Line tracks to the north. The nearest public transportation is a four-minute walk to the Paulina CTA L station, serviced by the Brown Line. The 9 CTA bus route, accessed at the Ashland and Roscoe stop, is within two-minute walk from the site. The property is being developed by Marduk Management, using two LLCs named 3407 N Bosworth LLC and 3409 N Bosworth LLC.

The brick structure currently houses multiple units and includes a detached garage, according the filing. Meanwhile, it is unclear what the owner, listed under FBF LLC, plans to do with the site. The area is currently zoned under RS-3, which allows for single family homes and two-flats.

400 N Aberdeen Street, aka Fulton Labs, Rises near Fulton Market

Located along N Austin Avenue, the project site is located between W Montrose Avenue and W Sunnyside Avenue. It is bounded by N Austin Avenue to the east, by a public alley to the south and west, and by an adjacent property to the north. The nearest public transportation is the 78 and 91 CTA bus routes, accessed at the Austin and Montrose stop, within a two-minute walk from the site. 4416-20 North Austin LLC is in charge of the development.
