City Council Approves Land Sale For The Grove Bronzeville

The Chicago City Council has approved the selling of land for the upcoming commercial development at 4731 S Cottage Grove Avenue in Grand Boulevard. Dubbed ‘The Grove Bronzeville’, the new project would replace an empty lot bound by E 47th Place to the north and E48th Street to the south. The project is being led by developers Millhouse and Syzygy Cities with Krueck Sexton Partners working on its design.

Hotel at 1016 W Lake Street Receives Plan Commission Approval in Fulton Market

A new 15-story hotel at 1016 W Lake Street, Fulton Market, has been approved by the Plan Commission. Cogswell Realty and Erol Stapleton bought the site for $6.6 million, and are planning 143 hotel rooms, which is an increase from the originally planned count of 130. The ground level will house a lobby and a small commercial space, with the second and third levels designated for amenities. A 3,400 square-foot sky-lounge with an outdoor deck is planned for the top floor.

New Renderings Revealed As Pre-Leasing Begins At 1000M

Pre-leasing has begun for the residential tower at 1000 S Michigan in the South Loop with new renderings revealed. Located along the famed streetwall across the street from Grant Park, 1000M came in second place on our 2023 year-end countdown as work is quickly wrapping up. The project is being led by developers Time Equities, Inc., JK Equities, and Oak Capital, with Jahn/ Architecture working on the design.
