Construction and landscaping are quickly nearing completion for 1229 W Concord Place in West Town. The eight-story biosciences office building is part of Sterling Bay‘s much larger Lincoln Yards project, which covers 55 acres and is expected to bring new commercial, residential, and recreational spaces to the north branch of Chicago River.
New details have been revealed for a mixed-use development at 7603 N Paulina Street in Rogers Park. Located on the northeast corner with W Howard Street, the multi-phase project will replace a large one-story commercial building and eventually a historical multi-story storage building dating back to the 1920s and its adjacent parking lot. Developer Housing For All LLC is leading the effort for the affordable workforce housing proposal which was designed by Cordogan Clark & Associates.
Exterior construction is wrapping up on a new four-story residential building under construction at 1526 N Wieland Street in Old Town. Planned by Halcyon Development and dubbed “W8 Old Town,” the project will offer eight total condominium units.
Work is getting closer to completion for Structured Development’s Shops at Big Deahl Phase 2 in Near North Side. The overall $250 million scheme is oriented around a new urban park on an elbow-shaped parcel. Phase one of this project was the construction of a new three-story climbing gym known as Movement Lincoln Park. Situated at the east end of the property, this first component was completed last year.
Directly west of the Chicago River across from Goose Island, a tower crane permit has now been issued for a large-scale distribution center and warehouse. Owned and developed by Logistics Property Company (LPC), the 11-acre site was once home to a Peoples Gas production facility and required extensive rehabilitation following its previous use.
