Construction permits have been issued for a three-story residential building at 817 N Rockwell Street in West Town. The filing owner has been listed as 817 N. Rockwell LLC, with plans for three dwellings, a basement, a rooftop deck and stair enclosure, and a detached three-car garage with a separate rooftop deck. The development is set to replace a two-floor masonry residential building.
Facade restoration is making headway for the 24-story Old Republic Building, located at 307 N Michigan Avenue in The Loop. The 325-foot-tall Classic Revival office tower was designed by Vitzthum & Burns and opened in 1924 along the newly-widened Michigan Avenue.

Located at the intersection of W Belmont Avenue and N Clifton Avenue, the property is a corner lot. The parcel is currently occupied by a one-story masonry building that holds the soon-to-close Tenenbaum Hardware store. SNS Realty Group is the developer behind the proposal.
