Two Rows Of Townhomes Permitted For Construction In The Douglas Neighborhood

A pair of new construction permits have been issued by the City of Chicago to allow construction of 14 townhomes in the Douglas neighborhood. An LLC registered to an address on LaSalle Street in The Loop was the recipient of the two permits, and with the exception of the homes’ street addresses, they are identical. Each comes with a reported construction cost of $4.1 million; the application date shown for both is November 15, 2024. D.O.M. Properties Investment, Inc is the general contractor.

The residential development at 1235 North Ashland Avenue in Wicker Park has taken similar strides in progress as its neighbor at 1257 North Ashland just up the street. We took a look at an update Thursday on 1257; 1235 is also at grade level, and will rise the same five stories. They are both being led by Noah Properties, with Buildmax as general contractor. They got a new permit from the city to build 1235 North Ashland on February 6, showing a reported construction cost of $4 million.

Construction Permit Comes Through For 3310 North Lincoln Avenue In Lake View

A residential development has been permitted at 3310 North Lincoln Avenue in Lake View, two and a half years after applications were filed to start construction. Mangan Builders will put up a six-story building on the site, which was cleared of a pair of low-sling structures back in spring 2024. The permit was issued on March 27, and it shows a reported cost of $6 million. Mangan is the general contractor, in addition to their developer duties.

Thompson Center CTA station alterations permitted

Permit Issued To Renovate Thompson Center CTA Station

A permit was issued by the City of Chicago on March 21 to allow Clark Construction to begin interior alterations to the CTA Station inside the Thompson Center in The Loop. Renovations are permitted for all three levels of the station, including the concourse, ground floor, and upper level. JAHN drew up the plans, as they did for the Thompson Center and its current overhaul for Google. The permit shows a reported construction cost estimate of $35 million.
