Construction permits have been issued for a four-story mixed-use building building at 3087 N Avers Avenue in Avondale. Developed Wilmot Construction Inc, the project will yield first-floor retail and six residential units. Plans also include a nine-car garage on the ground floor and a rooftop stair enclosure. Located at the corner of Avers & Milwaukee, the new structure will replace a single-story masonry commercial building.
Work has topped out on the remaining section of 957 W Grace Street, aka The Grace, a now partially-opened apartment building in Lake View.
Construction permits have been issued for a three-story residential building located at 6043 S Vernon Avenue in West Woodlawn. Filed under Scott Allbright, the development will contain three total residences and a detached garage, replacing what is now a vacant lot.
Foundation work is now in progress for 1210 N State Parkway, a 12-story mixed-use development in Gold Coast.
Dual demolition permits have been issued for two adjacent multi-unit buildings located at 2454-56 W Ainslie Street in Lincoln Square. Both permits list Eamon Gibbons as the owner, whose plans for the properties have not yet been published. However, both parcels are zoned for RS-3 Residential Single-Unit District, which allows for detached single family homes and two-flats. This designation also allows for a floor area ratio of 0.9, by which any new building’s square footage may not exceed 90 percent that of the lot itself.
