Renovation permits have been issued for 2122 W Iowa Street, a three-story residential building located at 2122 W Iowa Street in Ukrainian Village. The building currently houses three condominium units, and is filed under Devin Rapson as the listed owner and general contractor. Under the new plans, a three-story addition and a rear-wood deck will be added, in addition to interior renovations on the second and third floors. The condominium units will also be reconverted as apartments.
Glass cladding has been installed along the vertical glass portion at the southeast corner of 320 N Sangamon Street, a 13-story mixed-use building that’s wrapping up in West Loop‘s Fulton Market.
Demolition permits have been issued for a three-story masonry residential building and a detached frame garage, located at 5522 S Indiana Avenue in Washington Park. It is unclear what the owner Jayenne Commercial Finance Inc has planned to replace the now-vacant multi-unit structure, though the site is currently zoned for C1-2. C1-2 allows for retail space on the ground floor and apartment units on the upper floors. The designation also permits a floor area ratio of 2.2 in that the total square footage may be up to 2.2 times the area of the lot itself.
Interior work is underway on a four-story mixed-use development at 2145 S Halsted Street in Pilsen. The interior lot is located along S Halsted Street between W Cermak Road and W 21st Place. The nearest public transportation is the 21 CTA bus accessed at the Cermak and Halsted stop at the end of the block. Vision Group Investments LLC is in charge of the development.
