A full construction permit has been approved for Lincoln Park‘s 2650 N Racine Avenue, where the filing owner 2650 N Racine LLC has planned a three-story residential building with three total units. The structure will come with a rooftop deck with a stair enclosure and trellis, a basement level, front balconies on the second and third floors, and a rear staircase. Plans also call for a detached three-car garage with a rooftop deck.
While the design by Hanna Architects has not yet been unveiled, the inclusion of multiple masonry contractors within the permit suggests a brick or stone exterior.
Closest bus transit is available at the intersection of Diversey & Racine/Lincoln via a four-minute walk north. Meanwhile, those looking to board either the Brown or Purple CTA L lines will find Diversey station via a nine-minute walk northeast. A wide range of retail and dining options are within close walking distance along the diagonally-oriented N Lincoln Avenue.
Bachula Development Inc will serve as general contractor for the $765,500 construction, which will be replacing a three-story frame residence. Demolition permits for this existing structure and its detached garage have been filed but not yet issued, and a full completion timeline is not yet known.
