A 15-unit building is underway at 2357 North Washtenaw Avenue, which sits right across the street from its sibling project at 2354 North Washtenaw, and it’s starting to see brickwork and concrete block set for the first floor. Details Revealed For Potential 50-Story Tower In Bronzeville

Potential plans have been revealed for a mixed-use development at roughly 2601 S Martin Luther King Drive in Bronzeville. Located on the corner with E 26th Street, the renderings and rough plans were revealed by local developer JC Griffin. Griffin, who has experience in smaller projects around the city, tapped Wight & Co. and Studio Barnes for the design.

Window installation has begun at 3951 North Wayne Avenue, the four-story apartment development coming to Lake View. Located next to the Lakeview Station USPS office, the project broke ground in the spring and topped out in the fall, so this milestone moves it that much closer to getting to work on interiors. This neighborhood lies between Wrigleyville to the south, and Graceland West to the north.

4701 North Clark street permit issued

Construction Permit Issued For 36 Units At Clark & Leland In Uptown

A new construction permit has been issued to allow for a 36-unit apartment building on the northeast corner of Clark Street and Leland Avenue in Uptown. Using the address of 4713 North Clark, the City of Chicago released the permit on January 6, 2025. The residential development replaces a single-story masonry building most recently home to Byline Bank. That structure was permitted for demolition in February 2022, then demolished in January of 2023.
