A new five-story apartment building in Lake View has received approval for four variances. 1801 W Grace LLC is the developer behind the proposed residential structure, which would yield 62 total units and come with a rooftop deck.
Initial permits, including foundation and superstructure, have been approved and issued for the development at 220 N Ada Street in Fulton Market. Located on the corner with W Fulton Street, the mixed-use development was originally proposed in 2021 under the address of 1353 W Fulton Street. The project is being led by Shapack Partners, CRG, and KMW Communities and received city approvals in 2022.
Metra has taken a significant step towards adopting sustainable transportation by approving the purchase of battery-powered, zero-emission trainsets. This initiative, which was approved by Metra’s Board of Directors, positions Metra as one of the first in the United States to implement this technology.

The project, a collaboration between Mavrek Development, GW Properties, Luxury Living, and Double Eagle Development, encompasses residential, office, and retail spaces.
Further details have been revealed for the residential development at 1421 N Sedgwick Street in Old Town. Located just north of the intersection with W Schiller Street and across the street from the redeveloped Marshall Field Garden Apartments, the proposal would replace a vacant lot. Leading the project is Leo Razko of Razko Development with MC & Associates working on its design.
