Three affordable single-family residences were permitted Tuesday by the City of Chicago on South Aberdeen Street in the Back of the Yards neighborhood. The Resurrection Project is the developer of the new homes, as well as several others in the neighborhood that have already been authorized or have permits pending in the Chicago Data Portal. Deon Lucas of Beehyyve is the architect of record, with Toro Construction Corp of Orland Park named as the general contractor.

The three buildings permitted on May 27th were all filed on January 21st of this year, and are assigned the addresses of 5015, 5025, and 5216 South Aberdeen Street. They are to be two-story structures without basements, but no other details, including parking, are included in the permit language. Each home comes with a reported construction cost of $300,000.

Four pending permits, at 5007, 5011, 5013, and 5023 South Aberdeen, will fill in two large parcels on the mostly vacant east side of the 5000 block.
