A new four-story mixed-use building has been completed at 2111 W Caton Street in Wicker Park. The development occupies a triangular lot, bordered by Caton Street, an adjacent commercial building, and the CTA L tracks. Previously, a single-story masonry building stood on this site. The developer, Lux Living 4U, has constructed eight residential units and ground-floor retail space.

Designed by Chicago-based Hanna Architects, the exterior incorporates brick, stone, and aluminum elements. It includes a glass storefront on the first floor and recessed balconies on the upper floors.

For transit, Route 56 bus stops are located near the intersection of Milwaukee & Caton, just east of the site. Routes 50 and 72 are also within walking distance. The Blue Line’s Damen station is a five-minute walk southeast, and the Clybourn Metra station is a 21-minute walk northeast.
The construction, costing under $1.5 million, was executed by DOM Properties Investments.

Awesome! Now all we need is for a redevelopment of that strip mall next to it
YES PLEASE
Cinder-blocked back? That’s a damn shame.
I have extreme doubts this building was constructed for $1.5M…
