Construction is wrapping up for a renovation and addition at 3615 North Wilton Avenue in Lake View. The project involves converting the existing residential structure, which previously comprised three residential units, into a five-unit edifice. This expansion includes creating a new residence in the basement and another with the construction of an additional floor, bringing the final height to four stories. The plans feature a rooftop deck, a north-facing metal porch, and a three-vehicle garage with a rooftop terrace.

3615 North Wilton LLC owns the structure according to past-issued permits, while Cruz Designs and Consultants is the architect of record. The addition’s facade includes dark metal paneling to contrast with the lighter-shaded masonry of the existing structure.

The site is just one block from Addison station, which offers CTA Red Line service. Underneath the station are bus stops for Route 152, while additional bus services are within walking distance.

  1. how unfortunate..

  2. Dear Developer: 1. Thank you very much for not tearing this building down. 2. Please replace the missing cornice at the top of the original structure. 3. The cornice will further restore the graystone and be a nice counterbalance to the heavy appearance of the new addition

They could’ve at least tried to find brick similar to the Original Grey Stone.
