The City of Chicago has issued permits for a new residential development at 2042 W Washington Boulevard in Near West Side. The permit for this project, submitted under the self-certification program on August 14, was approved on November 27, following a 105-day review period.
Permits have been issued for two adjacent single-family homes, part of a larger 12-home development by Lexington Homes. These two new Lake View residences, located at 1225 and 1227 W School Street, will each stand three stories and will be designed by Laszlo Simovic Architects, LLC. As noted in permit descriptions, features for these houses will include basements, five-foot high fences, and two-car frame garages with rooftop decks.
A construction permit has been granted for a new three-story residential development located at 2046 W Washington Boulevard in Near West Side. The project will come with three units in total and come with a basement level. This development will replace what is currently a vacant lot. Washington Owner LLC is the official owner of the upcoming project.

Owned by 5069 N Northwest Highway, LLC, the project will include a three-story building with a basement, providing fourteen new dwelling units. The building will replace an existing structure.
A permit has been issued for a new three and a half-story residential building at 4640 N Magnolia Avenue in Sheridan Park. The owner, Lakeview Property Rentals LLC, plans for six units and six parking stalls, as well as accessory features such as a wooden fence and a trash enclosure. The new construction will be replacing a former vacant grass lot.
