Plans are moving forward for the mixed-use redevelopment of the historic Werner Bros. Storage building and the adjacent commercial structures along the corner of West Howard Street. Located at 7603 North Paulina Street in Rogers Park, the project has been in the works for several years and has gone through various iterations and changes in density.
The caissons permitted for Loyola University’s new Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing and the College of Arts and Sciences are in full swing along North Sheridan Road in Rogers Park. The entirety of the block-long construction site spanning from West Loyola Avenue north up to West Albion Avenue is busy with construction activity for the six-story facility.
A foundation permit was issued Friday to allow Loyola University to begin construction on the new Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing and the College of Arts and Sciences. Addressed in the permit as 1144 West Loyola Avenue in Rogers Park, this is the former home of Campion Hall, which was demolished last year for the new facility. The construction site occupies the entire east side of the block spanning 6550 to 6600 North Sheridan Road between Albion and Loyola Avenues, one block north of the Loyola Red Line platform.
The Chicago City Council has approved plans for a mixed-use development at 6935 North Sheridan Road in Rogers Park. First announced nearly a year ago with a taller design, the current iteration of the project was revealed last August after several rounds of community input. Now, local developer Chicago Equity Partners is nearly ready to move forward.
Details have been revealed for a new mixed-use development at 7644 North Sheridan Road in Rogers Park. Located at the intersection with North Rogers Avenue, the project will replace two structures, including a two-story commercial building. The proposal is being led by 5T Development Partners along with local firm SEEK Design + Architecture.
