The Chicago City Council has approved plans for a mixed-use development at 6935 North Sheridan Road in Rogers Park. First announced nearly a year ago with a taller design, the current iteration of the project was revealed last August after several rounds of community input. Now, local developer Chicago Equity Partners is nearly ready to move forward.
Details have been revealed for a new mixed-use development at 7644 North Sheridan Road in Rogers Park. Located at the intersection with North Rogers Avenue, the project will replace two structures, including a two-story commercial building. The proposal is being led by 5T Development Partners along with local firm SEEK Design + Architecture.
Campion Hall on the Loyola University campus in Rogers Park is mostly rubble now, with only remnants of the east and south walls still remaining. Heneghan Wrecking is on site clearing the block-long property for Loyola’s future six-story nursing, forensic sciences, chemistry, and biochemistry facility for the Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing and the College of Arts and Sciences.
Permission has been granted by the city to build a three-story plus basement, seven-unit residential building at 2222 West Morse Avenue in the West Rogers Park neighborhood. Issued to Broadview Solutions LLC on October 28, the permit shows an application date of 09/18/2025 and comes through with a reported cost of $986,000.
A demolition permit from the City of Chicago allows Loyola University to tear down Campion Hall on North Sheridan Road in Rogers Park ahead of redeveloping the site for a new center for nursing and science. The block-long three-story building addressed as 6551 North Sheridan extends from Loyola Avenue north to Albion Avenue.
