Foundation work continues on the Loyola University campus in Rogers Park for their Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing and the College of Arts and Sciences building. Work on the new facility began this winter after general contractor Power Construction received a caisson permit in January. Located at 7603 North Paulina Street in Rogers Park, the project has been in the works for several years and has gone through various iterations and changes in density.
The caissons permitted for Loyola University’s new Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing and the College of Arts and Sciences are in full swing along North Sheridan Road in Rogers Park. The entirety of the block-long construction site spanning from West Loyola Avenue north up to West Albion Avenue is busy with construction activity for the six-story facility.
A foundation permit was issued Friday to allow Loyola University to begin construction on the new Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing and the College of Arts and Sciences. Addressed in the permit as 1144 West Loyola Avenue in Rogers Park, this is the former home of Campion Hall, which was demolished last year for the new facility. The construction site occupies the entire east side of the block spanning 6550 to 6600 North Sheridan Road between Albion and Loyola Avenues, one block north of the Loyola Red Line platform.
