Construction permits have been issued for a three-story residential development at 6515 S Greenwood Avenue in Woodlawn. Jack Properties LLC is the filing owner, with plans for three total units, as well as an open steel porch in the rear and a three-car concrete parking pad. The new structure will replace a currently vacant grass lot.
Charles Schwartz is the listed architect of record. While no drawings or renderings have yet been revealed, the filing description has noted a masonry exterior.
Nearby bus access includes stops for Routes 5, 67, and 95 via a four-minute walk south to the intersection of 67th Street & Greenwood. Also nearby is Route 63 via a six-minute walk north, as well as Route 4 via a seven-minute walk west. Those looking for rail access will find the CTA L Green Line at Cottage Grove station via a 12-minute walk northwest, as well as the Metra’s 63rd Street station via a 12-minute walk northeast.
Various smaller parks and green areas are also nearby, while larger spaces such as Washington Park and Jackson Park are both within a 20-minute walk.
Crown Construction Company is the general contractor for the $350,000 development, whose full timeline has not yet been published.
