Construction is wrapping up at 1100 W Fulton Market in the rapidly developing Fulton Market neighborhood in West Loop. The mixed-use renovation and expansion features a five-story and three-story development. These two buildings will triple the existing square footage of an old meatpacking warehouse by integrating an additional floor on top of the existing two-story structure, as well as new ground-up construction on the adjacent second edifice.
YIMBY has the latest details and renderings for a four-story residential building at 3745 S Lake Park Avenue in the Oakland neighborhood. Construction permits were issued earlier this month, on the condition of passing field inspections.
Demolition permits have been filed for a five-story residential building at 1608 S Wabash Avenue in the South Loop. The interior lot is located along S Wabash Avenue between E 16th Street and E 18th Street. The nearest public transportation are the 29 and 62 CTA buses accessed at the State and 16th stop at the end of the block. The Roosevelt CTA L station, serviced by the Green, Purple, and Red Lines, is the nearest stop, a 12-minute walk away. 1608 S Wabash LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
YIMBY has photos of the site preparation for 1043 W Fulton Market in the development-heavy Fulton Market neighborhood. The development will be two-fold, consisting of a 12-story hotel with 132,000 square feet of space and a six-story boutique office building with an additional 46,000 square feet of space. The project will replace two single-story buildings and a parking lot.
