The Chicago Fire Football Club has proposed to construct a performance center at 5501 W Fullerton Avenue in Belmont Cragin. Located on the grounds of Hanson Park, the site is bound by W Fullerton Avenue, W Grand Avenue, N Long Avenue, and N Central Avenue. The community garden and adjacent schools will remain.
Construction permits have been issued for a three-floor residential building at 4817 N Rockwell Street in Lincoln Square. With Sustainabuild LLC as the listed owner, the project will yield three total dwellings, along with a rooftop deck and stair enclosure, a basement, and a rear deck and staircase spanning all three levels. The development will also offer residents a detached three-car garage with a separate rooftop deck. The new construction is set to replace a two-story frame residential building.
The City of Chicago has selected Assemble Chicago as the winner of the C40 Reinventing Cities competition, planned for a city-owned site in The Loop. Located at 331 S Plymouth Court, the project site consists of a city-owned parking garage and a series of smaller parcels on the western edge of Pritzker Park. Bound by S Plymouth Court and W Van Buren Street, the rectangular parcel also has an alley running through that will be vacated.
A full construction permit was issued on Monday for 345 N Morgan Street, where developer Sterling Bay has planned an 11-story mixed-use building.
