Demolition permits are in place for two properties in Edison Park in anticipation of a new residential development along North Northwest Highway. Two buildings that comprised the former M.J. Suerth Funeral Home, at 6750 and 6752 North Northwest Highway, received demo permits from the City of Chicago on October 24.

Located just east of the future home of Lincoln Yards, the project would replace a large commercial building but preserve the curved tracks shaping the southern end of the site.
Big progress has been made on a residential development at 2100 West 18th Place in the Lower West Side’s Pilsen neighborhood. Foundation work was just underway when we last visited the site in September, and now work has reached the third floor of the four-story project.
