Details have been revealed for a new mixed-use development at 2801 W Montrose Avenue in Irving Park. Located on the southwest corner with N California Avenue, the new building will replace a handful of buildings directly across the street from Horner Park. The project itself is being led by Farah and Amir Essa with SEEK Design + Architecture working on its design.

White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf is willing to contribute financially to the team’s stadium project. According to Crain’s Chicago Business, Reinsdorf is proposing to help finance a new stadium on “The 78”, a vacant 62-acre plot in the South Loop, just south of downtown Chicago.
The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the mixed-use development at 116-138 S Paulina Street in the Near West Side. Sitting just east of the United Center and replacing a vacant lot often used for event parking, the project will be the new home for City Church Chicago. The large multi-phase development is being led by the church with Indiana-based Hutton & Hutton working on its design.
