A new construction permit was issued August 20th to build a three-story mixed-use building at 3047 South Archer Avenue in the Bridgeport neighborhood. An application for the permit is dated August 12, 2024 and it comes through just over a year later with a reported cost of $400,000.
Plans have been revealed for a residential development at 3102 North Western Avenue in West Lakeview. Located at the corner of West Barry Avenue near the Chicago River, the new proposal would replace two vacant residential buildings along with an empty lot. The project is being led by local resident Matt Ronan through an LLC.
A demolition permit has been issued by the City of Chicago to remove a former Brown’s Chicken restaurant at 6909 West Archer Avenue in Garfield Ridge. Permission came through on August 21, with Master Guys Demolition assigned to teardown duties at a reported cost of $15,000. The restaurant closed in 2018 and was listed for sale by the owner. It has been vacant since.

Located at the corner of East 44th Street, the proposal would replace a large vacant lot with some much-needed density just a few blocks from the lakefront. The effort is being led by a local developer operating under an LLC.
The City of Chicago has granted permission to begin construction on a four-story multi-unit residential building in the East Pilsen neighborhood on the Lower West Side. The parcel at 1931 South Jefferson Street is currently vacant. The construction application was filed on January 7, and it came through on August 21 with a reported cost of an even one million dollars.
