Foundation work has begun for another condominium development on the lot created by 2022’s Twisted Hippo fire in Irving Park. We showed you construction progress on the first condo building here earlier this month, and now 4343 N Richmond Street is also on the way. Like its predecessor at 4337 N Richmond, this will be another three-story, six-unit structure.

Located on the intersection with N Halsted Street, the project will replace an existing two-story bank building within the larger shopping complex owned by developer The Georgetown Company.

The permit, which was issued on June 6, allows for the construction of a building with a basement, rooftop deck, rooftop stair enclosure, rear terrace at the first story, rear deck with stairs at the first, second, and third stories, and front balconies at the second and third stories. The permit also includes the construction of a detached three-car garage with a rooftop deck.
