Construction for Fulton Market‘s 1020 W Randolph Street is currently wrapping up its foundation phase and is approaching vertical construction. At 22,000 square feet, this five-story building is coincidentally the same floor area as the new Wrigley Field addition that was covered this past Sunday.
A permit was approved on Friday for a new three-story residential building to be located at 2437 W Foster Avenue in the Lincoln Square neighborhood. The owner is listed as 2435 W Foster LLC and plans indicate this project will yield four total units along with a basement level and a detached four-vehicle garage with a rooftop deck. The development will replace an existing structure.
Remaining exterior touches and landscaping are now underway for the six-story medical facility known as the UI Health Outpatient Surgery Center and Specialty Clinics. Replacing a formerly vacant lot at 900 W Taylor Street, the new structure is located directly south of the hospital’s main building in the Illinois Medical District.
Initial details have been announced for the city’s application for the first round of funding from the groundbreaking federal infrastructure program. With $1.2 trillion on the line for states across the nation to use on infrastructure repairs which have been put off for decades, bringing us to a critical point where we’ve seen an increase in bridge collapses and other major failures. The money would be applied for by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and the work covered in this first application would be spread across the suburbs and city itself, with the plan to apply for more at a future date.
New permits have been issued for 812 W Adams Street in the Near West Side neighborhood. Luxe Suites Chicago LLC is the owner and developer for the upcoming seven-story mixed-use development.
