Work on the parapet for the 24-story, 360 N Green Street mixed-use building in Fulton Market is now making headway. The developer, Sterling Bay, is developing the 399-foot-tall tower to accommodate office spaces, 5,400 square feet for retail, and tenant amenities within its 500,000 square feet of space.
Initial funding has been announced for the potential redevelopment of the building at 1550 N Milwaukee Avenue in Wicker Park. Located just south of the six-corner intersection with N Damen Avenue and W North Avenue, the combined two-building site is currently home to the Lubinski Furniture store who also owns it. The redevelopment plans are being led by nonprofit arts group Equity Arts which seeks to create a permanent home for the local art scene that placed the neighborhood on the map.
A construction permit has been issued for a new residential development at 5209 S Michigan Avenue in the Washington Park neighborhood. The project, owned by Igor Goncharko, will consist of a three-story building providing six dwelling units.
The newly completed 21-story mixed-use building, One Six Six, is now open for lease in West Loop’s Fulton Market. Located at 166 N Aberdeen Street, this Greystar-led development has replaced the former Fabbri Sausage Factory, yielding 224 rental units and ground-floor retail space.
The Chicago Plan Commission has approved a new commercial development at 1675 N Elston Avenue in West Town. Located east of the highway and near the intersection with W Wabansia Avenue, the proposal will rehab an existing two-story storage building and its adjacent vacant lot. Dubbed ‘The Outset’, the development team operating under the name of 1675 Holdings LLC have brought forward the updated proposal for the site with an undisclosed architect.
