Details have been revealed for a new affordable planned development at 3037 W Grand Avenue in Humboldt Park. Located on the eastern edge of the neighborhood on the intersection with N Sacramento Avenue, the multi-phase proposal would replace the current home of Stone City. Efforts for this are being led by local developer Aspen Ventures.

1130 South Wabash Avenue in the South Loop is close to being completely demolished. All five levels, and the basement, are still visible, but only at the rear of the structure. The rest has been reduced to rubble and piles of scrap.
A full building permit has been approved for the first mixed-use structure of the long-stalled Riverline development at 1010 S Wells Street in the South Loop. The new building designed by Gensler will occupy the first parcel of the larger development located south of the River City apartments, having switched to apartments from condos.
