Construction Logistics Meeting Announced For 400 N Lake Shore Drive In Streeterville

A community meeting has been announced to discuss the start of construction for 400 N Lake Shore Drive in Streeterville. Sitting atop of the former Spire site, the two-tower development has been in the works for many years. Most recently a financing meeting was held and now Alderman Reily is running the logistics meeting. The project is being led by Related Midwest who tapped architecture firm SOM for its design.

Hugo Finalizes Construction in River North

Exterior construction has wrapped up for Hugo, a two-building development in the River North neighborhood. These mixed-use structures, located close to each other, represent the latest ventures from developer LG Group. Collectively, the buildings will span a floor area of almost 149,304 square feet. Once finished, they will offer a combined 227 rental apartments. The 751 N Hudson Avenue building will yield 134 units, while its counterpart at 411 W Chicago Avenue will house 93 units. A noteworthy addition to this development is approximately 18,867 square feet of ground-level retail space. An existing two-story building not part of the development is situated between the two main structures.

Signal Processing Plant Approved In Motor Row

Plans for a new signal processing plant at 2348 S Indiana Avenue in Motor Row have been approved by the Permit Review. Located just east of the intersection with S Michigan Avenue directly adjacent to McCormick Place’s west building, the new building replaces a surface parking lot. Led by Louisiana-based Lumen Technologies, the structure is being designed by the local office of global engineering firm EXP.
