The Chicago City Council has approved the multi-phased mixed-use proposal at 1325 W Fulton Street within Fulton Market District. Set to replace a block-long site bound by N Ada Street to the west and N Elizabeth Street to the east, the project was revealed a few months ago and received approval from the Plan Commission last month.
A pair of three-story, three-unit buildings are at opposite ends of their development at 2469 and 2471 North Clybourn Avenue in Lincoln Park. Urbanscape Development LLC is erecting the two buildings, based on designs by architect of record Angelica Borromeo. We stopped by on a snowy morning last week to check on their progress.
A new single-family home nearing completion at 3446 North Oakley Avenue in North Center will soon build an Additional Dwelling Unit to go with the main residence. G Alan Development received a permit on Valentine’s Day to erect a two-story coach house with two parking spaces on the ground level, and an ADU on the second floor.
The Chicago Committee on Zoning has approved the massive redevelopment of the United Center parking lots known as The 1901 Project in the Near West Side. The approval comes around a month after the Plan Commission also gave the mega development the green light. This now leaves City Council as the final approval needed.
The single-story commercial building has been razed from the lot at 701 South Western Avenue in Tri-Taylor, allowing excavation work to begin on a pair of residential buildings set to take its place. B & K Concrete 1 has removed the structure from existence, and is now working on digging out the basement for one of the two new structures.
