The Holiday Inn and Suites at 506 W Harrison Street in West Loop Gate is currently undergoing an extensive interior and exterior renovation. This process overseen by development firm LXG and designed by DxU Architects began in January and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The renovation includes updated guest rooms, a new lobby and public spaces, and enhanced amenities including the rooftop pool deck.
The Chicago City Council has approved ‘Sarah’s on Lakeside,’ a residential housing development for homeless women located at 4737 N Sheridan Road in Uptown. The developer behind the project is the non-profit organization Sarah’s Circle with Perkins + Will as the architect for the new structure replacing an empty lot on the corner with W Lakeside Place.

The eight-story edifice is part of the developer’s larger multi-billion, 55-acre Lincoln Yards, which is poised to bring new life to the North Branch of Chicago River via a mix of commercial, residential, and recreational spaces.
